Sustainable touring opportunities in the Nordic - Baltic region
The Nordic-Baltic ASSITEJ Network is a regional network and co-operation format that includes Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden.
Our vision is to strengthen Performing Arts for Young Audiences (PAYA) in the Nordic-Baltic region, share best practices to inspire others, enable more sustainable PAYA production and programming structures, and make ASSITEJ even more visible and relevant as an organisation, both within our region and elsewhere.
This panel talk seeks to discuss sustainable touring and co-operation opportunities in the Nordic-Baltic region – for companies as well as individual artists – now and in the future. How do we maintain and develop an international exchange while at the same time lowering climate footprints?
Questions at issue:
- - Why regional? - The importance of regional?
- - The Nordic-Baltic story - Nordic-Baltic brand?
- - Growing market? - Increasing regional availability?
- - How regional? Travelling? Funding?
- - Barriers? - Languages?
- - Nordic-Baltic tour co-operation? Showcase?
