Accessability
Bibu actively promotes accessibility to ensure that the performing arts are accessible to all, whether you sit in the audience or work as an artist.
The last two biennials have had a focus track; "Temaspår Funktion" with performances, seminars and workshops. The aim was to highlight perspectives on the inclusion of, and accessibility to, children and young people with disabilities in the performing arts, and to inspire performing arts organisations and independent groups to create adapted productions for this often overlooked audience.
During bibu 2024, an artistic lab was also held with the Edinburgh International Childrens Festival, led by Caroline Bowditch, for performing artists with disabilities who want to create performing arts for children and young people.
