MOMENTS - sculptures of Karin Wiberg

Karin Wiberg is a talented and sensitive artist, who has created, for the first time at Dunkers kulturhus, an installation of her sculptures. Her busts of men, women, and animals are molded from clay and she occasionally merges these forms to create human-animal hybrids. The resulting sculptures are tangible, physical and, at times, even ethereal.

“I have always been fascinated by the primeval forest, its mystery, its origins, the dangerous, the unknown, the beautiful and wondrous. Who do you expect to meet in the depths of the darkest forest, when you feel that you are no longer on safe ground but are instead stepping onto a path to another world? " – Karin Wiberg

Wiberg’s installation is a meditative space where we can encounter her figures, a room in which to observe and contemplate as well as to reflect.

Welcome to the opening of the exhibition. Karin Wiberg and curator Charlotta Jönsson will discuss the concept behind the installation. There will also be a special performance and refreshments will be served.
