We followed The Tail

In the project Svanslandet, Spinn explored and developed new methods to increase accessibility with children´s perspective. The work resulted in a workshop with tactile, visual and auditory exploration that enhances the experience of the performance Svansen/The Tail (choreography by Minna Krook, premiere 2024 at Vara Konserthus). Svanslandet workshop has now been experienced by children in preschool age as well as pupils at special schools. 

In this presentation, Danskompaniet Spinn will share questions and experiences from the project, as well as learnings from many years of work on making performing arts accessible to children and young people. The presentation also contains interactive elements where the audience can test parts of the workshop material.

It´s led by Danskompaniet Spinn´s Artistic Director Veera Suvalo Grimberg together with dancer Ida Häggström.

Danskompaniet Spinn is a professional dance company based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
We are passionate about the art of dance and about challenging stereotypes regarding what dance is and can be. It is about different bodies and new ways of creating and presenting dance art. It is not about how many pirouettes you can do, but what you want to express with the pirouette that you do.
