bibu’s ongoing collaboration with acclaimed artist and cultural leader Caroline Bowditch continues to grow. As part of our long-term commitment to developing sustainable strategies and structures, in this keynote Caroline will explore strategies and methods in how to shape a performing arts sector for children and young people that is more relevant, inclusive, and democratic — both in who creates the work and whose perspectives are represented on stage.

In this talk, Caroline will touch on why it is our collective responsibility as a sector to act as drivers of change in transforming and strengthening performing arts for children and youth. She will highlight the vital importance of supporting disabled-led work, ensuring that bodies, voices and stories that have too often gone unheard are brought to the forefront.

We will also gain a unique insight into Caroline’s upcoming production Love, Love, Love, Love, Love, Love an immersive theatre performance created especially for babies and their carers. This disabled-led work exemplifies how access can be embedded into performance — not as an afterthought, but as a conscious artistic choice integrated from the very beginning of the creative process.

Join us as we continue shifting the stage toward a more inclusive and sustainable future for the arts.

The talk will be held in English.
