Welcome to the opening of bibu 2026!
The opening ceremony will open with Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra performing Serenade for Winds, Op. 44:IV. Finale by Dvořák and conclude with Skånes Dansteater's duet Fine Lines.
We are welcomed to Helsingborg Concert Hall by Katrine Ganer Skaug, Artistic and Managing Director Helsingborg Symfoniorkester och Konserthus, Helsingborg Arena and Scen.
Mats Berglund, Chair of the Culture Committee, will open bibu together with Fredrik Sjögren, Chair of Region Skåne's Culture Committee, and Alexander Kolind, Chair of Helsingborg's Culture Committee.
The opening speaker will be Caroline Bowditch, artistic director, choreographer and former CEO of Arts Access Victoria in Australia.
Fine Lines
The duet Fine Lines is a dialogue between two exceptional women. A meeting shedding light on the fine lines between us, reminding us of our differences, our boundaries, the outlines of our intentions. But what brings us closer together? What do we want to celebrate in each other? On stage, two women. So delicate, so powerful.
Choreography by Roser López Espinosa. Dancers Anna Borràs Picó and Madeleine Månsson.
Fine Line is presented in collaboration with Region Skåne.
The opening ceremony will be held in English.
