As a director, meetings with children through performing arts have meant creativity and it has given me the deepest meaning of my profession. During my eleven years as artistic director of two regional theatres in Sweden, it became clear to me how important, but also under-prioritized, performing arts for children and young people are in a larger perspective. Bibu is the meeting place where we get inspiration, power and strength to work further to achieve what the national cultural policy goals formulate as particularly important; the right for all children and young people to high-quality performing arts.
