MAKE ROOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION (GIVING YOU PLACEMAKING)

The Next Generation is a residency program aiming to support artistic and cultural exchange and collaboration between international artists under 36 with an interest for working with performing arts for children and youth. ASSITEJ Sweden and Bibu have invited 16 actors, scenographers, scientists and producers from around the globe to attend Bibu.

The 2022 Next Generation program theme is “placemaking” – a method for developing public spaces in long term and short term in different ways. Placemaking is grounded on using local and human needs and experiences to develop a public space and strengthen the local relations as well as social sustainability. Local and established actors will be guiding the participants. Together they will explore how this process can be related to our work with performing arts for children and youth.
