The Jury’s Motivation
A clothes rack, a few hangers and two garments are all that Regina Baumann need to create a thrilling universe. In this wordless and finely composed virtuosic circus performance, the audience get to experience innovative and surprising visual effects. With finesse and acrobatic precision, the performance demonstrates courage, inventiveness and a clear artistic vision that is fascinating for children and adults alike.
Klädställningen is a playful and poetic circus performance. It is based on movement between hangers and clothes with different proportions. It is its own little world within the framework of a rather limited space and where relationships are created to the various objects. A visual and wordless performance suitable for both children and adults.
Regina, who first of all is an aerial-acrobat at higher heights, has now with such a low height and with completely different apparatus than the "classic aerial apparatus" completely new challenges that set different requirements and open up for new creative inventions. This is a performance based on a free standing "clothing rack". The result is a 30-minute circus experience that surprises with creativity, presence and physical poetry.
