WHEN THE WORLD TURNS - WORK IN PROGRESS SHARING
When the world turns is a work-in-progress sharing by Polyglot Theatre and Oily Cart Theatre, discussing their long-distance collaboration on a new sensory show made especially for children who have multiple barriers to access, and their families. In this sharing Ellie and Sue will show filmed footage from their creative development sessions, and discuss their approach to creating a low impact, sustainable international tour.
There will be input from their collaborator Greta McMillan who is a young artist who communicates using eye-gaze technology. Sue and Ellie will also talk about the use of Eco-scenography by Designer Tanja Beer, who is innovating new approaches to sustainable design and touring.
This project is a deep exploration into the intersection between inclusion and sustainability at the heart of a creative project. The final piece will be premiered at Arts Centre Melbourne's Inclusive Arts Festival Alter State in October 2022.
