Representation, creation, and inspiration - An artist residency collaboration between Glad Theatre (DK) and Complicité (UK)

Glad Theatre has taken the initiative to create a series of international artist residencies in which they invite artists who inspires them into spaces of creation and exploration. Their first artist residency was created in collaboration with the London-based theatre Complicité. 

The aim of the workshop was to explore and inspire, playfully and instinctively. By sharing mutual findings and asking new questions. Together they explored arc of game-playing, physical work, and forms of devising tasks.

What happens if artists approach creativity like they are explorers, astrophysicists, pioneers? If they create through chain reactions, collisions, and combustion?

What happens in the petri dish when artists from all over the world join forces and create collectively in this scientific artistic space? Together they were seeking new frontiers.

Glad Theatre want to share how they used this experience to create performances which include different abilities. They see different abilities as a force both in the creative process and in the final performance.
