PLAYFUL TIGER - TO MAKE A PERFORMANCE ACCESSIBLE

Barrowland Ballet, located in Glasgow in Scotland, produces accessible dance theatre performances that tour nationally and internationally. In 2018, they produced Playful Tiger which was an adaptation of an earlier work, Tiger Tales. The performance was now made for children and young people with severe autism and mainly non-verbal.

The seminar will be about the artistic decisions behind making this type of work, about the process of creating a sensory engaging, playful space and how to provide an artistic collaboration with this audience.
